Similiar company names - a company sent me this!?

I have a company name registered in and only in the state of NJ. Our name is ''KForce Technologies LLC''. We are a computer consultant company who do services/repairs. I formed the LLC on 10/2008. It is not big and only 2 employees.

A similar larger company named ''KForce Inc'', sent me an email of infringement today requesting to seize using my company name and turn over my website to them. They listed names that are similiar to there company but i am NOT on that list.

If im reading this correctly, i think they are saying they trademarked the word ''KForce''.

It doesnt seem legal to me or it seems that are trying to take more from me that they can.

Is this legal? Can anyone out there at least let me forward the email to you and you can give me some insight to this situation.

I really need help because I am getting ready start offering a new business idea from my company and I am concerned if this is going to affect it.

It sounds like KForce Inc. is claiming you have infringed their trademark by using the KForce mark. They may in fact have the ability to prevent your use of that name, but I would need additional information about the companies' respective use of the names.

Not every use of a similar name is an infringement and the use of a domain name does not necessarily infringe on a similar trademark. To tell you more, I would have to see the letter that you received and have a little more information about your business.
