Re: smoke condition/fire in bed/breakfast room
you lit a fire in a fireplace without making sure that the chimney vent was open?
Re: smoke condition/fire in bed/breakfast room
Next time, check the chimney before you light a fire in the fireplace.
The B&B probably owes you nothing. You, in fact, should be prepared to cover at least their insurance deductible on the damage you caused to their facility by lighting a fire in a fireplace whose chimney you had not checked before lighting the fire.
Safety Hint: Always check the chimney before lighting a fire in the fireplace.
