Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

I'm taking a business law class and I have a project where I have to find a similiar case to one that the teacher gave us and do a paper on it but I can't seem to find a similiar case and I was wondering of any of you guys knew of one. It would be a huge help. (The case is one in which a person paid a contractor and entered into a contract with them to paint the outside of their townhouse while they were at work. The person informed their next door neighbor that this would be going on. When the painters came to do the work they began working on the next door neighbors house accidentally and the neighbor was sitting in her house watching it go on but did not correct the issue because she needed her house painted as well but when the painters came to collect payment she told them to remove themselves from her property before she called the police and that she did not have to pay them because she had not entered into a contract with them.) It doesn't have to be identical but very similiar. Thanks!

All law school libraries in NJ are federal repositories and thus open to the public. Look for the Restatement (Second) of Contracts and West's New Jersey Digest in the Contracts volume. You will discover the law that applies when there is no real contract but the parties behave as if there is. You will also find law that pertains to situations where there is no real contract but one party accepts services from another who expects to be paid. Those situations have legal names that will help your further research. Note the West key numbers as you work. Your will find your cases that way and learn as you go. Good luck.
