Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey
Terminating a union agreement early
I am the owner of a business who made our shop union. I joined the union to get quality men. To date the union hasnt sent me one guy and they never call me back. Also the cost for dues, pension etc is killing me. Can I terminate early or are there penalties?

Re: Terminating a union agreement early
No. Even if you let the contract expire, the union will pressure you and might even picket your jobs. Usually, it is foolhardy to convert a business to a Union Shop. You should definitely consult an attorney immediately!
I hope this helps!
