Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

website content

If I make an information website giving a list of stores in certain fields a space on the site that I feel are some of the best in their business. I want to put on the stores I select and I have their permission I do not intend on talking bad about any store that is not listed but this is more of an information site to these customers. My question is this aloud and can someone sue me if I don't put them on. The stores I put on I am not charging any fees to be on here this is just my opinion on them and helping others to find them and check them out.

Re: website content

I have read what the other attorney wrote.

I will just add that you should have an attorney that you can ask questions of, to help you and advise you in your business dealings. I suggest you find a lawyer reasonably near you who does this kind of work. The attorney should be willing to answer quick questions without charging you very much at all ($100 for the answer to a question that may be important would be worth it).

If you would like, give me a call; I am in northern New Jersey. I will be happy to discuss this with you; the telephone consultation will be free.

My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.

Re: website content

As long as you have written permission (writing protects you that you are authorized) and add proper disclosures and disclaimers (disclosing what the site content is intended to do, and disclaim any endorsement of products and services), you should be OK. This is a response to an Internet question and the reply is not intended to be a legal opinion or to create an attorney-client relationship. Note that missing or incomplete facts might result in a different response.
