Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Jersey
I am an activist who founded a tenant's association on a property that was owned by a small corrupt city. After much media coverage and constant harassment by the mayor and his cronies in their tiny police department, i found out i am now being sued by the City. I am unable to afford a lawyer and need representation. can your group help me with this.
Respectfully,
Anthony Parisi

Go to the New Jersey State Bar Association attorney referral web site (http://www.njsba.com/lawyer_referral/) where you will find a list of attorney referral services for each county. You should also look at Legal Services of New Jersey (http://www.lsnj.org/) and contact them for referral to an attorney who might be willing to represent you on a pro bono basis. Do not delay because you have only a limited amount of time after you have been served with the law suit in order to file your answer.
