Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Jersey
Okay, so I have a question regarding on how the police got us. We were smoking marijuana in my friends house (they moved out but still own it). The cops raided the house, cuffed us, and took our possessions. They did not read our Miranda rights, and they didn't have a warrant to enter my friends house. We had paraphernalia and under the legal amount of weed. We are juveniles. If we got a lawyer and sued the police for entering without a warrant, and not reading our rights, would we win?
