Ressisting Arrest
What is considered excessive force from an officer for someone ressisting arrest? What is the allowable method/procedure for an officer to effectivly arrest someone who resists arrest?

The amount of force that can be used is determined by the crime and circumstances of the arrest. For example tt would likely be excessive force to tackle a Jay Walker; it might not be excessive to shoot an armed suspect who points a weapon at you.
