Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Jersey
Restraining Orders
I was wondering the procedure to obtain a restraining order. Does it cost anything, Do i need a lawyer? Are there limitation? Do i have to see the person this is going against in court? Do i need a restraining order, harrassment order or protection order or are these all the same things. Thank you

Re: Restraining Orders
You can go to your local precinct to file for a TRO. You do not have to pay, and can contact your local legal services for an attorney if you desire.
