violation of civil rights

i was stopped and arrested due to a warrant 6 years old and held in custody my attorney sold me out after 1 year he led me to belive he filed a complaint against the city do i have time to file a tort complaint against the cities involved

The tort limitation is kind of overplayed. I know a lot of attorneys that don't even bother to file tort claims and they just file civil suits before the 2 years. I suggest you do so ASAP.
