definition of a state offcer
hi, i am wondering if a public school teacher falls under the catigory of a ''state officer'' any help would be much appreciated.

It depends what you mean by "officer." If you mean a government or public employee for purposes of making a claim against a school district for a wrongful act or omission by a teacher while in the scope of her/his emploument, the answer is "Yes." However, few teachers are actually employees of the State of New Jersey. They are employees of the schook district or the Board of Education that hired them
