What does seperation of church and school exactly mean?

it is not just the school, it a seperation of church and all of government. as far as schools go, they are to have no part in supporting religion and religion is to be kept out of public schools all together. a child's religous training is something the law considers a private matter to be controlled by the parents without the government getting involved.
