Legal Question in Construction Law in New Jersey
i recently filed a notice of unpaid balance with intent to lien to a customer of mine that owes me $2000. his response from his lawyer from him was for me to commence with the lien proceedings. why would he be so casual about me putting a lien on his commercial property. is this a useless way of going about it on my part?

Is this useless? I can not answer your question without knowing more information. Normally, the lien on a commercial property does cause some problems for the owner, he can not refinance for example.
