Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey

Auto Contract

He is the whole story

Vehicle was a lease swiitched over to purchase, contract was signed for amount left to own, 1 week later woman calls and says that there was a mistake and that my payments are going to change due to my deposit i said i only put down 500 but traded a car in she said that was probally it. i said ok and she sent out a new contract for a 6 month period at which point it would be paid off and i own it. so that contract was signed and sent back. 1 month later someone calls and says they messed up and they are going to change my contract i said they messed up and it wasnt my fault and that i brought it to thier attention when they called about the new price and they disreguarded it. now with only one payment left they are still trying to get me to sign a new contract after not bothering me for now almost 6 months. when i look online at there site and my account status it says 1 payment left and an insurance premium over over $11,000. do i have to sign a new contract and pay the remaining amount that they told me was my deposit or after my last payment do i own the car and have full rights to it without repercussion from them?

Re: Auto Contract

No, you do not need to sign a new contract nor pay the amount in dispute, but if you're sued by this dealership, you'll need to hire a lawyer to defend yourself.
