If it is reported as a delinquency on your credit report, the answer is: Badly.

Did they follow the law in doing the repossession? Did they send the required notices?

You may want a lawyer to look it over and see if the damage can be minimized. You might, perhaps, get them to report it only on her credit and not report it against you.
