Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
Used Car Rights
I recently purchsed a 2001 Honda Accord from a private seller. I ran a Carfax report on the VIN # to make sure the vehicle had a clean title and was never in an accident. The report showed a clean title. I just had the car at the dealer and was told that it had been in a pretty significant accident before and sustained some structural damage. I specifically asked the owner at the time of purchase if the car had been in an accident and was told ''no''. We would NEVER have purchased a car that had been in a wreck. I would like to know my rights regarding a refund or being reimbursed the cost of having the car fixed appropriately (it had been repaired outside of a Honda dealership).
Thank you for you time!

Re: Used Car Rights
Sounds like you are the victim of fraud. The least you should be able to do under the law is return the vehicle for a refund. I can offer you a no cost consultation (Glen H. Chulsky 908-213-0600).
