Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
How to Claim From ******** for My Car
Dear Lawyer,
How are you? This is ***** *****. I have a problem with my 1994 Camry Car. I have changed battery and two front tires several weeks ago at ********. After they did that, the careless technician didn't close the hood. On the way to home, the hood was gone but there was no car behind us and the window was not broke. Then we drove to the ******* store. At that time, we also fond the left front wheel cover also lost. I believe the technician forgot to install it since we were back the place where the hood was gone. We just found the hood not wheel cover.
The manager at ******** filed the claim to the insurance. But the insurance checked the car and told us there are too many damages and they are not responsible for that.
My car had an accident last year but it was already repaired and we use it as usual. Although it is old, it is still really good. We don't need ******** to replace the new car for us but at least they need to replace what damaged during this accident, the hood and the creviced window shield.
Now I am wondering what I should do and how I can let ******* repair my car?
I really appreciated your time and patience for this question.
Thank you very much!
Have a great weekend!
Best,

The shop is responsible to "make you whole" in the sense of repairing, replacing, or paying to put you back in the same position as you would have been if if the work had been done correctly. It doesn't matter to you what their insurance will pay. That is their business. If it costs more, the store has to make up the difference.
