Re: collecting info in a small claims case
Goto the NJ judicial website. There are forms available online. You want an "Information Subpoena". Follow the instructions online for collections on a judgment. This is a slow process. If they fail to answer the information subpoena, you file a motion with the court, to compell them to go to court to explain why they did not pay or answer the info subpoena. If they appear, the judge will tell them to fill it in within X days, or there will be a bench warrant issued. If they do not appear, there will be a bench warrant issued. IF they happen to be stopped by the police, they will be arrested and taken before the judge, however, do not expect that they will go knock on the guy's door and arrest him, it's VERY rare the cops will take their time to do that.
Good luck.
