Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
consumer law nj
i returned an unopened product within 3 calendar days
the store refused to refund my money
they would only issue a store credit
i thought they were required to refund by law

No, you are wrong. Each store has their own policy. If the product was defective, the situation may be different, but I have not actually had to address that issue.
