Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
contract
I signed a contract for a photo shoot for my two girls and then realized the company was a scam. Is there is a law that says you can cancel a contract within so many days of signing it?

Re: contract
You will be governed by what the contract says, but that is not the end of the story. I would need more info to give you any advice. I do agree witht the other attorney, don't pay them anything more if they are not going to give you what you were expecting to get.
If you would like to talk to an attorney, call me. I am in Hackensack (northern New Jersey). I will be happy to discuss this with you; a brief telephone consultation will be free.
My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.

Re: contract
You are governed by what the contract says. There is no standard two-day "cool off" period ascribed to all contracts. If you did not already pay for the photo shoot, I would refuse to do so.
