Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey

fall

My mother fell back in November at the Ritz Carlton in Jamaica. She ended up in the hospital in Jamaica for three days and upon returning to the states she went to the hospital and rehab for about three weeks. She just started to walk in April. I contacted the Ritz and they did not respond. About five weeks later I contacted them and they offered us seven certificates for one night stays. Insurance did cover 805 of her medical but is this standard compensation. It seems very little for the problems that we went through. Not to mention she is 76 years old and her leg will never heal back properly. Can you advise? thanks

Re: fall

If the facts are that the Ritz was negligent in maintaining the premises, then you will have a claim against the Ritz. They are subject to jurisdiction here in PA (Phila), and anywhere else that they have a hotel (don't know if they have one in South, Middle or North Jersey). Feel free to call our offices, or you can e-mail me directly at [email protected].
