An individual can file any legal action pro se with the caveat that pro se means "for oneself", not just "by oneself". That is, the action must be brought or defended by and for the pre se litigant only. A non-lawyer pro se litigant cannot maintain an action on behalf of a spouse or child or, except in very limited circumstances allowed by the rules of court, for a company (even if the company is wholly owned by the litigant). Even so, applications seeking injunctions are highly technical and the assistance of counsel is advisable even if not absolutely necessary.
