Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
Lawsuit?
My 4 year old son somehow got a hold of Krazy Glue brand of brush on glue and poured it on his jeans, his jeans started smoking and now he has a 3rd degree burn on his leg. I looked on the MSDS sheet on the Krazy Glue website and there is no mention of the reaction between the glue and fabrics. Do I have a lawsuit?

Re: Lawsuit?
You may. For the moment, it is important that you preserve the evidence: glue; jeans. Of course, don't wash the jeans or do anything else to treat them. Seal these in separate plastic bags and keep them where others won't use or disturb them by accident.
Next, you should consult with a lawyer who does personal injury work. This is not actually a consumer law issue. I can recommend a few good PI lawyers if you call me.
For the safety of others, you should also report the matter to the CPSC. They may know of the problem (which would help your case) but, if it is an early report, it may keep the same thing from happening to another child.
