Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey

I live in NY and received a check from a company in NJ. I misplaced the check and found it now (6 years later). Can I ask the company to re-write my check or is it too late? If they refuse or take a long time to respond, what happens? Thank you.

Have you tried depositing the check? That may work even with an old check. If it doesn't, you can ask for a replacement. � See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
