Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
So, I have purchased my car through a dealer almost 2 weeks ago. The number that's shows in the contract is different to what the sales manager showed me. I wasn't informed about my interest rate or finance company until I had to sign the contract in which I needed to sign when it was closing time and manager was gone for the day. My credit was ran 5 times without my knowledge to 4-5 different finance companies. I had asked the sales manager about registration, tax and title fees which I had the cash to pay for. He said "don't worry, we will speak about that a little later". When I reviewed my contract, all those fees was included in my loan amount. Also, I called 3 days after having the car to inform the dealership that I didn't feel comfortable with the car because it was too big for me. The sales guy told me call the sales manager, which I did. He picked up and told me he needed to organize himself and promised to call me back. He never did and the sales guy spoke on behalf of the manager to let me know that I only had the option to wait 2 months to receive the title so they are able to re-buy the car or wait 1 year to refinance. I feel like I was taken advantage of since its my first time buying a car. I was shown a price of almost 16,000 but the contract shows almost 23,000 after paying interest in 6 years. That is way out of my budget. Do I have the rights to fight this?
