Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
Returning used vehicle
I put a down payment of $4,000 cash on a used vehicle, it was agreed upon by dealer and I that I would come up with the remaining 2500 by the end of the week. I called him the next day, and he refused to refund my deposit and that I would have to find a car for $4,000 instead.
What are my options?
I found a better deal, and basically changed my mind. (The vehicle is not in my possesion, never has been). I called the dealer the next day

Re: Returning used vehicle
A contract is a binding agreement. There are a few types of contracts where there is a right of recission if the contract is cancelled within a few days. This is not such a case.
