Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
I am being sued by a Bailbond company because I co-signed and the person skipped out on court. Can I counter sue them? I helped them as much as I could to recover this fugitive, even had them contact his PO to set up a false appointment so when he shows up they can apprehend him. Is there any way for me to get out of this?
And if I can't get out of it what's an acceptable settlement offer for me to present to them? Because I know these companies do not pay the full amount when the fugitive skips bail. im being sued for $11,000.
