You can be sued personally. Whether or not that suit has merit depends on the claims and the facts of the suit. In general, the shareholders, directors, and officers of a corporation are not liable for the corporate debts. However, there are exceptions. There is one thing for sure - if you don't defend the suit, the court will enter a default against all of the named defendants. So, you should meet with a lawyer to discuss the facts and plan your defense. /p/ My firm handles matters of this type, however the efficiencies in this matter may be influcenced by your lawyer's location. (You did not give enough information for me to tell if our Burlington County NJ office can help.) If I can be of further help to you, call or email. /p/ See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
