Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Jersey
My wife signed a daycare contract from september of 2009 to september 2010 for a set amount of money appx 12k. Nowhere in the contract does it state that the daycare can raise the fee during the contract. They told my wife today that the fee would go up appx 236/month starting in march with 6 months left on the original agreement can they do this?

The day care may be able to raise the rate that they offer for new customers and renewals, but your fees should remain as stated until the end of the term of your current contract. After that, the rate may go up.
