Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey
Need help answering discovery questions
I received a summons from a lawyer for a debt collector, and I filed an answer within the 35 days. I received a trial date for 12/19, but I also received a list of discovery questions from their lawyer, which says I have to answer within 30 days from 10/2/06. The questions are very difficult, and ask about things that happened 3 years ago. How do I go about answering these questions? Thank you.

Re: Need help answering discovery questions
If you do not answer the questions, the attorney will ask for a default judgment against you. You need a lawyer's assistance. If there is enough money at risk to make it worthwhile, go get a lawyer. Otherwise, you are at a real disadvantage.
If you would like, give me a call; I am in northern New Jersey. I will be happy to discuss this with you; the telephone consultation will be free.
