Can an attorney file separate collection for fees that were not included in the original civil judgement?

You question is not clear. All related claims against a defendant normally have to be resolved in one suit. So, if the court does not award a plaintiff award attorney fees in a suit a further suit for fees against the defendant is not permitted. However if the attorney's client does not pay for services rendered, the attorney can sue for those fees. Simply stated, a client's obligation to pay fees is not dependent on the outcome of the case except in the case of a contingent fee arrangement where those arrangements are permitted. � See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
