Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

I was in an auto accident (I was hit from behind) in March 2008, there has been issues with the insurance companies (mainly my health insurance would not cover even though you have that option in the state of NJ) and now I am getting calls from collection agencies for the unpaid medical bills. Can this effect my credit? I am hoping to purchase a new car in the next couple of weeks.

Yes, and it probably already has. You may want to at least think about getting an attorney. It shouldn't cost that much to deal with the CA's over the phone but a lot depends on how much you owe. Call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss.
