Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

After being awarded a judgment, am I able to subpoena the mortgage company of the judgement debtor to get a copy of his checks to find out where he banks? Can I do that directly or do I need to first file a Motion for Discovery and try to get the Debtor to tell me where he banks? I know his mortgage company so I rather just go directly to them for the information since I have the element of surprise this way. The state I am in is New jersey.

From the Zip code you used, I assume that the judgment debtor is in New York. If that is true, you will have to have the judgment docketed in New York. You will then use New York procedures to enforce it.
