Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey
collection agencies
I have been receiving numberous phone nasty phone calls from creditors in reference to my ex-husbands debt. I have not been married to this man for 15 years and now I am remarried and I live in a different state. I feel this is harassment and something should be done about it. I do not understand how they are getting my number and why they are calling my house for his debt. My husband and I are getting very annoyed and it should be illegal for them to contact me. This debt has nothing to do with me and I would like to know what my rights are to make this stop.

Re: collection agencies
that is outrageous. more importantly, you can sue and punish them.
there is a New Jersey attorney who does this kind of work.
look up the phone number for Glen Chulsky, of Ledgewood NJ. this website will NOT let me give you his phone number, but look him up and call him.
go get these idiots. they have no right to do this to you.
Good luck to you.
Re: collection agencies
I suggest you get an attorney to help you with this. The phone calls will stop very quickly and your credit will eventually get cleared up.
