Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey
Confusson state
I have recived a letter stating that i have a bounced acheck to a company I hav eno ideal who they are nor would I write a check for the amount in question.I have called to get a copy of the ''check'' from these people and they say they don't have it that another company has it.I have also did a Better Bussiness Beur check on this company and nothing was found on the company in question.To me something smell fishie.Thank You

If you cut a check which bounced due to insufficient funds, then presumably you would know it. If you don't, then the party to whom you cut that check or it agent (collection, legal, etc.) should be able to provide you with the details and the original or at least a true
copy of the check and give you the opportunity to then make good on it.
