credit card judgement

i had a judgement filed against me in 2001 for unpaid credit card by pressler & pressler.they r now trying to collect over 4000. from me, i have a copy from court house saying judgement was satisfied & closed.they also sent an info supeona & said they would take me to court for contempt if i don't return it. i also have another judgement for 2000. which they were garnishing from my last employer for 2 years.but i dont know how much i still owe on that one.what can i do about the one that was closed & how can i find out how much i owe on the other. thank you!!!

Contact Pressler and Pressler and ask for the attorney handling the matter. Get their name. Discuss your concerns and offer to fax the proof of payment of the first judgment. Then follow up. Perhaps they will acknowledge that the matter was satisfied. If not, you can make an appropriate motion to deem the judgment satisfied. I suggest that you obtain legal assistance from an attorney.

For the second judgment, you can simply ask them for a judgment payoff figure. Then you can see if you agree with it.
