Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

credit and collection

I recently obtained my credit report for the first time and found that there are many inaccuracies on the report.

1 - In 2003, I went through a divorce and made arrangements with my previous credit card compaies to pay off the cards. They made me ''offers of settlement'' which I took and paid off the cards.

Now, I am finding these OLD debts from 2003 have surfaced again on my credit report as not having been paid and they have bloomed into three times the amount I originally owed back in 2003.

Some of them have even obtained judgments and I have NEVER been notified.

How do I rectify these credit inaccuracies which have ruined my credit?
