Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Debt Collector

A landscaper is claiming we still owe

money. We have paid for the job in

full. He sent it to a debt collector and

submitted false invoices of work not

done. I have all my payment receipts

and invoices. What course of action

can I take? Will a lien be placed on

my property?

Re: Debt Collector

depending on how much money is involved, he may file suit against you. You must defend any lawsuit filed against you, or he may get a court judgment and force you to pay that amount.

If you would like, give me a call; I am in Hackensack (northern New Jersey). I will be happy to discuss

this with you; a brief telephone consultation will be free.
