Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Debt

I stupidly paid many bills and debts while married and had credit cards under my name to pay bills etc. My ex rarely worked.

Now after more than 15 yrs a creditor is seeking payment. Is there any time limit on a debt? And/or how can I clear any outstanding accounts that he left me with? He has not paid one cent toward any and I have paid off many on my own.

That is way beyond the SoL's. I suggest you pull your credit report and call/see an attorney to discuss your entire case.
