Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Dismissal Without Prejudice

I was served 2 months ago by a lawyer representing a CA on an account that is over 7 years old that I don't recall. They produced a statement from the CC company with a date of 10/01. They said I made a payment in 01/03 and it restarted the SOL, but they had absolutely no proof of payment or any other info on the case except for the 10/2001 statement and I am sure I did not pay anything. The lawyer asked the judge to Dismiss w/o prejudice, while she obtained further info from her client. This was my first time in court and the judge said nothing to me. Does the SOL continue to accrue or does it just stop if a case is dismissed w/o prejudice? How long do they have until I can request that the case be dismissed WITH prejudice? Should I request interrogatories or is it to late since the case has been dismissed?

Thank you!
