Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

We got forbearance agreement papers from Wells Fargo in the mail after we had applied for the HAMP government program (for which we did not qualify). We don't want to sign these papers. Our question: If we don't react, don't sign, don't return the agreement- are we still on our original loan contract?

Robert Davies The Davies Law Firm, P.A.

You have a very serious problem, and it sounds like you are at risk to lose your house. You did not say how far behind you are. You really need an attorney's assistance, to tell you what these forbearance agreement papers will do if you sign them, and what your options are.

Give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and I will go over this with you, and give you some advice.
