Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Hold placed on bank account

I owe a debt to a hospital, which in turn sent it to a lawyer for collection. As it stands now the court has frozen my bank account and I am left completely without funds.Am I left with any options? I don't know what to do.

You have posted this message for New Jersey attorneys. If you live in NJ and/or your bank account is in NJ, then you need an NJ lawyer. You may be able to keep a portion of the bank account, your exemption is at least $1000.00 in most circumstances. Please, go see a lawyer.
