Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey
my husband just died. He has a leased car, however, he is the only signed name on the contract. He has a number of months to go on the lease. I donot want the car. What are my options? I live in NJ. My jsband had no assests. House deeed is in my name only.

If there is nothing in your husband's name, then they cannot come after you for any liability on the lease. You have an obligation to protect their property, notify them of what happened, and let them come get the car.
