Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

judgment on title that isn't ours

recently we were in the process on refinancing our home when the title company told us that there was an 18 year old judgment against my husband. When title company called attorney listed they had no record only what orginial creditor had given them. The weird part to all of this is that only the last four digits. If we find out that this debt is my husband's how do we get the creditor to settle with a lower amount?

Re: judgment on title that isn't ours

This sounds like garbage. I suggest you get an attorney to just try to get the entire thing dismissed.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss the case.
