Minors do not have the capacity to make contracts except for the necessaries of life. A wireless company would not knowingly open an account for a minor. The minor could repudiate the contract and does not even have to pay for the services used. If a guardian opened an account in the name of a minor or knowingly permitted a minor to open such an account, the guardian is liable for the charges.
