Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Levy on property and assets

I just received notice that a creditor/law firm has instructed the court to issue a Writ of Execution directing the Sheriff to levy upon property and assets for an unpaid credit card debt. Without going into reasons, I do not own the house I live in nor do I own a car any longer either. In fact, I don't think I actually own anything of value. Can they just decide that anything in the house that I live in is mine and take it?
