Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Please help with loan issue

This is a serious situation and I need some assistance on how to handle it. My exfiance and I took out a loan

together so he could go to school and purchase music equipment. I am the primary and he is the cosigner We are no longer together and he left me stuck with this loan. What is my recourse? Do I need to get an attorney? Please help. He used all the money and left me with the monthly payment. I have proof that the money was all deposited into his bank account.

a lawyer could help you persuade him to pay the loan, and pay you back for the payments you made. if he refuses, then a lawyer could help you sue him and get a court judgment against him.
