loaning of money

i loaned a relative money and they refuse to pay me back a little along and along, we also had a joint checking account and unfourtantly had overdrawn the checking account was mine she was liste on the account incase something happend she closed the account the money amount was 60,000 dollars to put an addition on her home for her ailing mother. looks to me like she has no intrest in paying the rest of the money can i put a lean on her property?

I suggest you see an attorney about this. In this area of the law, I handle ID theft and people who are in debt. Thus, I can't help you.

However, unless you have some paperwork to back this up, the relative can argue that its a gift and then you will have a tough time getting anything back.
