Re: medical judgement lien

If the lien is for an amount that you can pay, your best course is probably to pay it and then get the mortgage changed. If you are unable to pay the lien, you should speak to a lawyer who handles bankruptcy matters to determine whether that is the best course for you. A Chapter 13 would probably result in your being able to keep the house with an adjusted payment schedule and would discharge the debt and the judgment lien. A call to the medical lien creditor from a bankruptcy lawyer may also get them to change their position.
