Money owed to me
More than a year ago, I entrusted an individual with a fairly large sum of money, based on a family connection. He was to invest this money for me, which he claims he did. He was supposed to return my original investment along with the profits to me in January. So far he has not, though he continues to claim he will do so. Is there a proper form for filing a claim or lien against him and/or his estate? Or is there a different or additional method to pursue this? He has never denied that he owes me this money. Thank you.

If you have asked and pursued it, and he will not pay, then you will need to file a lawsuit and go after him. You are likely to do much better with it if you have a lawyer.
These kind of lawsuits tend to cause a lot of anger. The family connection means that you trusted the man with the money in part based on that connection.
